Rose City Work Camp was founded in 2020 by former FCO Executive Director Ryan T. Smith in the City of Roses – Portland, Oregon.  As the first organization to model itself after Flower City Work Camp outside of Rochester, Rose City Work Camp seeks to implement the same type of program and with the same heart as the original.  Portland, Oregon sits in the Pacific Northwest, long recognized as the most unchurched region of the country.  Though the Church has grown there over the last 100 years, Portland is still a very dark place.

Flower City Outreach is supporting Rose City Work Camp’s efforts to launch both financially and with coaching as that organization is built and prepares to launch their programming.  Their first event, scheduled for May 2022 with two churches from the SW region of the city, will be a single-day of service branded RCWC Weekend Edition.  More single-day sessions will be planned throughout the first year.  The goal is to have a 3-day or 5-day overnight camp operating by 2025.  Please pray with us as this new ministry is launched and a first generation of students is mobilized into service in their city through Rose City Work Camp.
